THE ARCHITECTURE FIRM GALLIANO & TAGLIAPIETRA IS BORN THANKS TO THE LONG STANDING COLLABORATION BETWEEN THE ARCHITECTS CLAUDIO AND ANDREA AND SINCE ITS ORIGIN IT HAS PLANTED ITS ROOTS IN THE NORTH OF MILANO, JUST BEYOND THE CINTA DEI BASTIONI AREA.

Claudio Galliano and Andrea Tagliapietra met in 1988 in a famous Studio of Design located in Milano, where they faced and completed a challenging project: the building of the headquarters of a major publishing company. This experience allow them to develop a rare “affinity” and thanks to common targets and values, a great friendship will lead them to begin, in 1991, a professional activity together, even if in an autonomous way. The artistic training received during their youth, along with a strong interest towards the technical aspects of the Building area, characterizes the spirit of the two architects. For this reason they decide to address their studio not only to a Project activity but also to the management of the whole project of building. The only exception is given by the commissions received for the building of the research centers and pharmaceutical production, located abroad, for which, the execution phase, must be necessarily delegated to the local engineering societies. Thanks to the huge experiences and achievements, the studio Galliano & Tagliapietra has acquired the necessary skills to manage all the macro-steps that distinguish the building project: in case of a new building or a refurbishment. Therefore, apart from the project activity, the consultation and the support offered to the client goes from the preliminary analysis of urban and economic feasibility, to the collection and check of the necessary certifications, the management of administrative practices, contracts and procurement. All these activities are provided simultaneously by a continuous coordination and control of the construction site. To follow all these aspects, the studio Galliano & Tagliapietra, which includes a simple and flexible staff, collaborates with a “Project team” composed by external Professionals specialized in the specific areas. Studio Galliano & Tagliapietra is attentive to new techniques of project and building and pay a particular attention towards all the engineering aspects of the building, extremely important for an adequate cost containment and an energy efficiency. This last theme is particularly felt by the studio, which is addressed to the use of efficient technologies in terms of interiors air conditioning and the construction of a building that can ensure, not only an esthetic value, but that can effectively achieve the role of “passive” component for the reduction of thermal transmittances. This is a rational and modern approach to face the project whose primary objective is the continuous research of quality through the use of solutions that can ensure a technical, economical and functional sustainability.
